Kym McCourt, AWI-CH

Kym serves as an independent investigator, helping organizations respond to workplace complaints by conducting neutral and thorough fact finding. At the conclusion of each investigation, Kym delivers detailed and well-supported findings and analysis that enable organizations to determine the appropriate response to the complaint.

Kym also works with organizations to improve their workplace culture by providing conflict resolution services and conducting employee trainings (including sexual harassment prevention and conflict management).

Kym has a range of experience across intersecting fields, including litigation, education, and mediation. This breadth of experience provides a diverse perspective and an integrated approach to Kym’s practice. Her passion and strengths lie in building connections with people and in understanding what motivates individual decisions. These skills enable Kym to help put people at ease during what can sometimes be a stressful and intimidating time, and to also help decision makers understand what is ultimately at the heart of an employee complaint or workplace conflict.

Kym has completed the Association of Workplace Investigator’s (“AWI”) Training Institute, and she is an AWI Certificate Holder (AWI-CH). She is also a trained mediator who has mediated a variety of civil harassment and legal disputes.  Kym graduated from University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Prior to law school, Kym graduated from University of California, San Diego with the distinction of Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa membership.
