Brittny Bottorff, AWI-CH

Brittny serves as a third-party, independent fact-finder who conducts investigations into workplace complaints. Brittny’s investigations help employers understand the underlying facts, circumstances, and context of a particular workplace complaint, which then allows the employer to make an informed decision about how best to respond to the complaint.

Brittny has personally conducted or supervised numerous investigations in a variety of industries and settings in both the public and private sectors. Brittny’s investigations have involved allegations of misconduct by healthcare executives and professionals, law enforcement officers, university faculty members, state agency supervisors, technology company executives, nonprofit board members and executives, and partners at privately-held companies. 

Through her experience, Brittny has developed deep listening skills that help Brittny better understand each witness’s own perspective and unique experience. Brittny also has extensive experience analyzing complex factual situations and synthesizing voluminous information into a detailed yet understandable written report. 

Brittny has completed the Association of Workplace Investigator’s (“AWI”) Training Institute, and she is an AWI Certificate Holder (AWI-CH). Brittny is also a trained mediator and has experience helping organizations resolve workplace conflict.

Brittny regularly serves as faculty for the AWI Training Institute and frequently teaches the AWI Investigations Basics Seminar.

Brittny graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Brittny graduated from Baylor University and earned the distinction of Summa Cum Laude and Phi Betta Kappa membership.
